Naltroxene And Dillaudid

I am taking a VERY low dose of naltrexone for an addiction to k8 dillaudids, and other various opiates. I have the 50mg tablets. I quarter the tablet so really only taking 12.5 mg of the naltroxene at a time. My question is this. I didn't dose at all yesterday, but this morning I took the 12.5 mg quarter of naltoxene. If I use dillaudid today will I feel the effects?

Hi Jewels,

Based on my research, the half life of naltrexone is reported to be 4 hours and its active metabolite "6 beta-naltrexol" is listed at 13 hours. This means if you had 12.5mgs, after 4 hours half of that (6.3mgs) will have passed through your system, and then half of that half (3.2mgs) and so forth (not including the active metabolite). I'm not going to get into all the mathematics though, because you still have to factor in things like your metabolism, weight, diet, etc only to get an estimate. However, in my opinion it sounds like you'd probably need to wait at least a couple days in order to get the most out of your dilaudid.
