N358 On One Side And 10 The Other (Page 2)
UpdatedWant to make sure pharmacy gave me the correct medication. I had taken some pain medication that has M367 but today the pharmacy gave me a pill with the letter "n" on the left side and "358" on the right side of the score line. On the other side it has number "10". Just want to make sure I got the correct medication for pain. Not more or less of what my Dr has been giving me. I take a 10mg dose. I am supposed to take 10mg of hydrocodone and 325mg of acetaminophen. Want to make sure that is what I got today.
Re: susan (# 2)
Wow, Aren’t you just the smartassed b*****. They change identification markings on meds from pharmacy to pharmacy and manufacturers to manufacturers constantly. You seem so “Scholarly.”???
My other prescribed hydrocodone was yellow, is this the same as n358 and a number 10 on the back?
Yes it got me too and I’ve been a registered nurse now retired but 30 years and my last job was at a nursing rehab place as an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING AND AS MOST DUTIES OF THE DON'T I DO THE FOOTWORK WHICH ALSO includes disposing with the pharmacist the controlled meds and I’m always looking for the non-narcotics to not have to dispose of in this way which is costly and very time consuming. I came upon those Norco myself and did not think they were controlled but I’m anal about my meds so I look everything up. Never EVER take another’s word for it. Trust me on this, even from pharmacies that 99.99% of the time are correct but I almost started a MED that was NOT compatible with another MED I took and it wasn’t what the doc had ordered, so Be BEWWY BEWWY DIWEGENT when it comes to your body and what you allow in it...
I've only seen tablets like this just recently. I got my refill straight from CVS. Has anyone else seen them? If you look it up, the 1 and 0 are close together. Anyone have any experience with these?
Here is what I found on it:
Hydrocodone Bitartrate 10 mg / Acetaminophen 325 mg
NDC: 40032-358
Color: White
Imprint: n 358 10
Mfg: Novel Laboratories, Inc.
Inactive Ingredients:
- Microcrystalline Cellulose
- Silicon Dioxide
- Stearic Acid
- Povidone
- Crospovidone
- Magnesium Stearate
- Corn Starch
Re: Nicki (# 3)
I use to get the pills in yellow and they worked...for some reason cvs started filling my prescriptions in the white and the 1 0 was printed with a space between the 1 and the 0
These pills seem to have very little relief
I looked the pill up can find no pictures with the space between the 1 and the 0
I have chronic pain...I ask my doctor about doubling the dose and was told no
I have an Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone Bitartrate pill marked with N 358 10. It looks like the "10" is "1 0" on the back spaced apart. Are these tablets good quality?
Re: Jada (# 9)
Exactly!!! I could not agree more. Who cares how people address the issue they have withy whatever words they choose. It’s their CHOICE. I call people like that internet trolls because they always want to start trouble. If you ask me, it does NOT matter how someone approaches a discussion. It don’t matter if they say they found the pill or they bought the pill. Whatever the case May be, it’s THEIR BUSINESS.
Re: Rootbot (# 7)
Yassss! I couldn’t have said this ANY better, and I could not agree more. Who cares how somebody approaches a topic of discussion? Obviously someone who doesn’t have a life. They want to pick at every little thing to make their miserable lives less miserable so they can feel better about themselves, but you know what? It’s useless! It really is useless. NOBODY CARES. Get it through your thick heads. Why you would pick at someone for how they chose to use their words is beyond me!? It makes absolutely no sense, like at all. Get over it already. Move along. If you don’t like the way someone approaches a topic of discussion, MOVE ON. It’s really the best advice that I can give you all. Get off your high horses and realize YOU cannot control how a person talks, or rather, types. Just stop. Because honestly, you’re only making a fool of yourselves. I’m being real with you all who do this, you sound like children because you’re criticizing how people are approaching a conversation or topic and that’s not nice, but it also makes you look bad. Grow up. Get a life. That’s all.
Re: Delilah (# 12)
Well, that certainly is another way to look at it. Yes, I see your point. Absolutely. This world does need more love, but also compassion, kindness, and most of all acceptance of who we truly are.
Re: Melissa (# 13)
You are absolutely right...so very true, and no need to judge anyone either.
Re: Karen (# 23)
Absolutely couldn’t agree more!
Yes, it’s definitely the same form of medication. However, IMO, it does not work the same way. Maybe it’s just me? But I’ve had quite a few other people tell me the same thing as I’m about to say about them. I was used to getting the M367 (tab 10) . Prescribed, of course. One day my pharmacy switched them up on me. I did not notice until I got home. I was confused and had to look them up myself. They are what they say they are. But- they don’t work the same way, not in my experience and in many other people I know who have tried them either. They began giving me severe migraines after a few days to a week of taking them. The ones I was receiving prior that were much thinner, oblong that said M367 had NEVER done this to me before. So, I began doing a lot of research online about these new fatter white ones that has the marking 10 on one side and the markings n358 on the other side. I found out that these are not as potent. In other words, they do not have the same amount of hydrocodone in them as they should. I found a whole network of people who were on the same page as me, so I knew I wasn’t alone in this and that it wasn’t just me. The migraines that were so hard to treat to get them to go away, my guess is because I found out these fatter Lortab 10’s with the 10 on one side and n358 on the other side were nothing more than “Tylenol fillers”. That’s right. Tylenol filers. They do not work the same because they are not of the same strength as they should be. I don’t if anyone here has had this same issue before regarding these other fatter white pills but there is a whole network and more, of people who has gone through, and are currently going through this very same thing right now. I do not like them. I had to completely switch pharmacies so I would not have to deal with the relentless horrid and awful migraines day after day, because i was MISERABLE! It was just terrible. I could not even get out of bed because the migraines were SOOOO AWFUL. I was also still in pain because the medication was not getting the job done either. Still in pain and the WORST migraines I’d EVER experienced in my lifetime. That is what those particular pills did to me. I no longer get that brand. As I said, I switched pharmacies. And if my pharmacy happens to not have the right brand in, I literally wait. Yes, I wait no mater how long it takes, even if I have to suffer in pain for a week, then so be it. I will never take that God Awful brand again. I wouldn’t wish that pain on my own worst enemy. I don’t know if any of you have had the same experiences or not as me but as I said, there is a whole network of people who have either gone through the same things as me, or different side effects that were awful. You can look it up and research it if you ever had any bad experiences with the fatter white pills that have 10 on one side and n358 on the other side. If so, you’re not alone. Do some research on them, you will see. Have you ever had any bad experiences with that particular brand??? If so, I’d love to hear from you and about your experiences???
Also, please do your research and look it up.
Re: Brush (# 27)
Yes, they are the same. They are Hydrocodone 10’s.
Re: Arandomguy (# 19)
In a way, you’re right. I totally agree. And I only get on here because I get a legit legal prescription of 120 Norco 10’s monthly from my MD Pain Care Specialist for my Chronic back pain. I have several things wrong with my back. I mean, they even found issues I didn’t even know I had that was messed up in my back when they did my MRI right after my X-rays. I wasn’t surprised though, because of the car wrecks I’d been in, along with the falls I’d had.
As I was saying though, you’re right- to an extent. Think about it... a junkie would “know” their pills and every form they come in. Don’t you think? If they’re that much of an addict, yes, they definitely know for sure every form of pill their is so they don’t get ripped off. I used to live in a street full of “junkies”, and not just any junkies, “pill junkies”. I used to hear them all day, “I know my pills, I’m not stupid ain’t nobody going to screw me over”. That’s what they’d say in their “dealings” or whatever you want to call it. Luckily, I was able to MOVE FAR AWAY from that neighborhood and I never looked back. I’m not here to judge anyone and I’m honestly not trying to because it’s just plain wrong and doesn’t make me any better by judging anyone. I’m just simply stating. That’s all. So I hope no one takes offense. I also moved far away because I didn’t want kids around that sorta thing because these people were pretty open about their business and kids didn’t need to be around that. Plus, there were other reasons we moved. But I’m js... not judging.
Re: Rita (# 26)
Same for me! My pharmacy switched out my brand and I got stuck with those same fatter white ones that have the 1 0 on one side and n358 on the other side. I had the same experience. They DID NOT work the same. I was getting little to no relief whatsoever. So, I began looking them up and researching. I found a lot of people in many discussion threads talking about their many different awful experiences with this same pill form. They also caused me to get TERRIBLE migraines as well about a few days to a week after I began taking them. It came down to me completely switching pharmacies due to this issue. When I did research online about them, I found SEVERAL other people who were going through the same thing! With many different side effects. You’re right. They do not work the same, not at all. They are actually what me and a lot of other people looked up to find that they were “Tylenol fillers”. Yes, filled with more Tylenol than usual, which is why they do not work the same and only give little to no relief. I hope by now you have switched pharmacies. If you ever want to read up about this form and brand of pill, whats in them, what they do, etc. you can look them up online. You will find MANY discussion threads on them and see that you are not alone. They really don’t work the same and it is not in your head so don’t let anyone tell you that. Do some research. You will soon see many people proved it.
Re: Brush (# 27)
They are a horrible quality. Seeing as how this is an old thread. Honestly, I didn’t realize how old until I looked back, so I’m a little late. But yes, they are a horrible quality! They personally gave me little to no relief. I also had HORRIBLE migraines... they’re nothing more than “Tylenol fillers”.
If you do your research, you will find many discussion threads on the topic of that brand of pills. If you have the time, you will see.
Re: Rita (# 26)
Has your doctor changed your medication yet? They are definitely a horrible quality. As I said, they were the same for me. I had little to no relief at all. Tylenol fillers is what I call them, as well as many other people if you really go do some research and find the many discussion topics on them.
If your doctor has not changed your medication as of yet, you could switch pharmacies like I did so you don’t have to deal with that awful quality anymore. If you cannot do that, ask your doctor if you could try out Percocet for a week to see how they work for you? They may work better.
Good luck.
Re: mark (# 16)
I would change pharmacies immediately! It’s what I did. CVS pharmacy did the same thing to me and I had HORRIBLE experiences with those white brand of pills as well. You are not alone! I did some research and found many discussion threads and topics on those white pills that have the n358 on them. They are AWFUL. I got stomachs as well. I couldn’t eat or sleep most of the time either. The worst of all, they gave me little to NO pain relief at all. Plus I would suffer with these TERRIBLE migraines and I just couldn’t take it anymore so I completely switched pharmacies. After that, I was fine because as long as they were NOT that particular brand fatter pills that had 10 on one side and n358 on the other side, I was finally okay again.
Your doctor will be fine if you tell them you’re changing pharmacies! Do that if you haven’t already and you’ll be fine I promise.
Good luck.
Ya gotta luv it. Rather than read the script info on the bottle, let's get on the internet and ask the world. "After all, it's the internet. No one would ever be wrong on the internet cause if it's on the internet, it HAS TO BE TRUE." It should say ON THE BOTTLE "hydroc/acetam 10/325". Then the next line should say "Substituted for Norco". If you have the bottle & are not buying them from one of the *****s selling their pain meds that have caused true chronic pain sufferers so much agony & suffering --- & if the fbi are not monitoring this forum I would be very surprised... Be well & I hope your pain is well managed.
