My Story Of Rsd The Pain Med S I Take

I Have RSD - and a lot of other health problem's ! I was on loratab 10/500 until today and was told by my pharmacy that they don't give them out anymore so doctor was called and put me on hydrocodone 10/325 ! I don't no if this will help my 24/hour 7/day a week pain I also have 25 mg of duragesic patch every 3 day's -zanaflex-for my spasms and lyrica once a day ! Just what I take for the RSD not counting other MED's ! I know everyone is different but does anyone take this medicine for pain I've just been switched to ! And would vicodine or something else be better what should I do I had been on vicodine for yrs then loratab for many year's can I have your opinion's and help thank you !

Hi Tammy, Sorry to hear about your recent challenges with health. You had asked if anyone takes this medicine for pain..? I do want to note that Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen 10/325 is in fact a narcotic pain reliever, normally used for treating cases of moderate to severe pain.

Lortab & Vicodin aren't any different. They contain the same two active ingredients as well as a new max dosage of 10/325. As of January 2014 a new law enforces medications to only contain a maximum of 325 mgs of Acetaminophen, due to the high risk of developing liver damage/failure. But if you want to avoid potential complications with Acetaminophen, you could always talk with your doctor about trying something like Oxycodone instead.

Are you not getting the desired amount of relief from what you're taking already?

Ive been taking hydrocodone (norco), for over 3 1/2 yrs now, and they r the only pain med that actually help with pain...my 24/7 pain is my spine.. metal in my neck, literally hundreds of injections in neck and back, directly into the spine..bilateral knee, carpal tunnel, and both torn rotater cuffs (shoulders)...i was a former paramedic..just dont ever drink alcohol with them..also, u will be dpendant on them, but the have alot less tylenol in them (thats y they dont have vicodin anymore)..greatly reduces ur chance of liver failure...just take them respnsibly...
