My Methadone Prescription

I have been prescribed methadone 10mg 360 tabs a month for chronic nerve damage in my back and right leg. Ive been prescribed methadone for 4years by the same doctor. Just this month my Dr has been ill and has canceled all appts. What should i do? Do you know of any drs. In northeast Ohio that would be able to help or what steps should i take?

Hi Tod, How are you? Sorry to hear about your situation with the doc being ill and out. Does he not have any backup physicians to take his place while he is away from the office? I would probably talk to the receptionist there just to be sure on that... because they may be able to get you in to see another doctor temporarily just to help keep things in order. And if he treats other pain patients, I'm sure you wouldn't be the first one there to request that.
