My Doctor Told Me To Stop Taking Losartan

I don't know if I'm just being paranoid. Last saturday my blood pressure was 99/62 so i called my doctor and went for an appointment and my doctor told me to stop taking losartan if its below 140/90. I checked my blood pressure this morning without taking medication and it's 137/92. Is that safe enough to not take my medication yet? Please help me.

He adjusted my dosage now to losartan 25mg. He told to take it if my blood pressure is 140/90. In the morning my blood pressure is 138/95 so i take my medication. So now it's 121/80 after taking medication, but i got a headache all day after taking the losartan 25mg for the 1st time after he lowered the dosage.

It is always best to follow your doctor's instructions, however, 137/92 is slightly elevated, so you should keep an eye on it.

As reported by the FDA, Losartan can sometimes cause low blood pressure as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination.

However, I am curious as to why your doctor didn't just change your medication or adjust your dosage?
