My doctor gave my 5year old boy moxymax s and augmentis s to drink together for infection fungus is it normal

These are both antibiotics that are used to treat various types of bacterial infections, but they will not treat a fungal infection.

The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

What condition is being treated? If he has a severe bacterial infection then it can be useful to prescribe more than one antibiotic.
