Morphine Vomiting

I was prescribed a 30mg morphine gell tablet yesterday he said to take one last night at 8 o'clock, and the next one this morning at 8 o'clock and so on for a week then go back to him. After taking this morning one I went shopping and on return at 12.30 I had a cup of tea and within 15 minutes vomited tremendously, so I ate nothing and just drunk water. Then at around 3.30 I vomited again quite a lot, in all I have vomited 4 times and the last lost was green. Should I take the next tablet due at 8 p.m. this evening. Would appreciate quick help if possible.

That can be a normal side effect of this medication, as reported by the U.S. FDA. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.

Have you tried taking it with food? That can sometimes help prevent the nausea and vomiting.
