Morphine To Suboxone Transition

I've been taking 40gs of long acting and 240 of short acting daily for several years. The last month before converting to suboxone I tapered down. 12 hours after my last dose of long acting morphine it took 8mg of suboxone and started a3x a day 8ng of suboxone. I feel great. No side effects except 1st day had a bad headache.

Wow! Those were very high dosages, so I'm glad that the transition went so smoothly for you. Some people have problems getting the dosage of the Suboxone just right.

The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

There's a company called point of return that teaches you how to taper correctly. Most mds have you dropping way too fast. Your brain balances 2-5% per week for a healthy comfortable taper.
