Is the marking E653/30? If so, this is indeed Morphine Sulfate CR 30mgs, a generic for MS Contin, which is a 12 hour time released narcotic pain reliever.

Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

What condition are you taking this for? The reason I ask, is I learned the hard way that it should not be used to treat some conditions, as it can actually make some worse, instead of helping to relieve pain.

I have renal disease, had a kidney transplant about 5yrs ago. I also suffer from Brachial Neuropathy, osteoperosis, scoliosis,right ribs stick out so far they are almost busting through the skin, I also suffer from sleep apena; however, instead of my airway becomming blocked at night, my brain shuts off.,I also have had a broken neck at c3 and t4 as a result my neck will sometimes lock or make terrrible grinding noises when I turn it which results in pain. I alo have migrane headaches 3t0 4 times a week. My short-term memory has been affected. I also have firbomyalga. I alo had bladder surgery to fix a ruptured bladder about 7 years ago. Between the renal disease and the bladder surgery I have trouble urinating without a catheter.For Chronic Pain, I currently take 20mgs of Methadone 4 times daily, 30mg imm rel morphine and 2 clonazepam 3 times per day.I was just switched to this regiment by a Doctor in the same practice. My Doctor retired, this new Doctor spent about 30 minutes with me and cut my pain medicine from.40mg of Methadone 4 times per day,30mg of ex rel morpine 3 times a day and 6 2mg clonazepam spread over 3 dosages per day, I also get Lyrica for Fibromyalga. With my current regiment which I have been on for 8 months, I am not getting enough pain relief. I stay up all night because of the pain, cannot eat half the time because of nausea. I am very limited in my physical activities and just being a part of the family at all. Before my meds were changed, I did life a much fuller life. This new doctor like I said saw me for 30 minutes and since the he has turned me over to his Nurse Practioner, who has to ask his permmission to change anything. Each time she asks him about a change he just says "no" instead of comming in the room and talking to me. I am considering getting a new doctor, but have to go through all the scrutny when you start seeing a new Doctor. Do you think seeing a new doctor would be the answer or demanding to see my current doctor every times he tells the Nurse Practioner "no"
