Morphine Sulfate Showed False Negative ???

Why would it test negative when I have been taking 2 x 60mg twice a day everyday for past 9 yrs? I'm being accused of not taking my meds as prescribed. PLEASE HELP, I'm 63 and this is affecting my life.

Hello, Mark! How are you? I am sorry about the problem you're experiencing.

Has anything changed in your life recently, such as your drinking more water or other liquids, adding other medications, exercising more or a drastic diet change?

All of them may play a role in detectable levels.

However, to be quite honest, I'm more inclined to think it's the sensitivity and accuracy of the test being used. There are only a couple of FDA certified tests available on the market and they are relatively expensive, so many places use cheaper, non-certified tests that vary in accuracy.

Have you asked them about the test or lab they are using? If they've recently switched that could explain the problem.
