It can be for some people, if they are not used to taking narcotic pain medications, but others who do use them regularly often take even more than this to alleviate chronic pain.

Combining the two can cause more severe side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation.

I am stage 4 emphysema taking ic morpthine sulf 60mg 2 tabs every 12 hours as needed. Also morphine sulfate oral 1 teaspOON 5ml every 8 hrs as needed. It seems like the oral is not effective any help?
