Morphine Questions

I have several questions. In general is morphine stroger than oxy ??? If oxy is stronger than morphine does anyone have suggestions on how to approach Dr ( this will b second visit. Dr seems sympathetic, is conservative) ???
Dr tells me MS Contin ER is supposed to last 12 hrs per tab, he started me 3x a day. I find that morphine only lasts 3-4 hrs @ most...how do I bring it up that I need more daily, something stronger than 30 mg ER, and or something for breakthrough (he can see that prev doc prescribed (30 mg IR oxy @ 8x daily as well as break through meds...he retired) ??
Any help or suggestions be appreciated

Oxycodone is stronger than Morphine. For example, if you were taking a 10mg Morphine tablet, then to be an equivalent dosage, you'd only need 6.67mgs of Oxycodone.

What type of doctor are you seeing, just a general practitioner or a specialist?

If it's just a GP then yes, he will likely be very conservative, because he hasn't been specially trained to handle pain management.
