Morphine Infusion Pump

How many months will morphine sulfate keep its potency when used in an infusion pump? I have to travel quite a distance to the clinic & I'd like to safely increase the time between refills. I've had withdrawal problems with a pump in the past, & recently a new one was installed & I don't want to experience that again.
