i have been taking 50mg of hyrdocodone per day for the last 6 months and it is not working for the pain anymore. I have ankolying spondylitus. My Dr has put me on 15mg morphine extended release 2x per day. I took 15mg about 3 hours ago and so far not relief. My questions is will this work for me as I was taking 50mg of hyrocodone per day.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?
The ER Morphine is released slowly, over a period of 12 hours, it is not released all at once, like the Hydrocodone was, so you will not feel the same effect. There is also a change that this dosage isn't high enough for you. Have you informed your doctor of the issue?
Though, it is usually best to give it a week, or so, to see if things improve.
The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
Are you on any other medications?
