Morphine Er 60mg

I'm new to MSIR ER 60mg and 30mg 4 x's per day for breakthrough pain and 3 x's a day on ER. Is this too much?

The extend release is normally taken twice a day. If you haven't been taking Morphine what you stated is too much. FDA guidelines state a patient isn't suppose to be prescribed more than 120 mg Morphine a day.
