Morphine Er 15mg Tablets
UpdatedI am currently taking 15 mg of morphine er twice daily and have been for 4 months now for chronic severe back pain. I have been noticing the last 2 weeks that it's not working as well. Is it safe to take 2 at once?

Hello, Crystal! How are you?
No, you shouldn't adjust your dosage, without your doctor's approval. That could be too much for you to take and may cause a dangerous overdose.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
The best thing to do would be to contact your doctor, inform them of the problem and then see what they advise.
Is there anything else I can help with?
