Morphine And Others To Suboxone

Using 20 mg morphine sulfate 1x a day along with tramadol, nucynta, soma, voltaren, lexapro, for approx 5 yrs. Talking about suboxone treatment. Im not clear on why. Have not been diagnosed ad an addict. Follow presriptions directions. This usage is due to chronic lumbar back pain. Severe DDD. Can you help me understand why they are considering Suboxone. They want me to stop all prescriptions and start the suboxone?

Suboxone does help some people with severe pain and some doctors also want to use it to see where someone's pain levels are, without all the other medications. They can better evaluate the next treatment steps for where to go.

The FDA lists this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

But, the best thing to do would be to ask your doctors.
