Morphine 60 Er Time Frame

How long will the effects of M60 last? I have a migraine headache and have to be up for work at 530 am...it is 7p.m.now...

It will last about 12 hours and it's really not advisable to take Morphine for a migraine, anyway. It actually tends to cause headaches, as a side effects, along with nausea, dizziness and constipation.

Additionally, since this is a time released formulation, it will not relieve the migraine immediately.

Is there anything else I can help with?

My wife was in a motorcycle accident 2 nights ago. They gave her shots of morphine which made her experience vomiting & dizziness. The vomiting has stopped, but she is still feeling a bit dizzy. The test results came back and she does not have a head injury, so I'm wondering if the dizziness could still be a result of the morphine injections. Is this normal? If yes, how long can the side-effects last?
