Morphine 30 Mi And Oxycodone 30 ..giving By Pain Management

I have been Oxycodone 40 mg on a year. Morphine 30 about 4 months. drugstore would only fill oxycodone so had to take morphine to different drug store ...now they have decided not to fill? And my usual drug store who fills Oxycodone wont fill ...he said he wouldnt be the one to kill me pain management knows of this.. using 2 stores I told them...when they stopped filling morphine I called pain management weekend line...they said to keep taking to drugstore till I get them filled...I tried 5 and they all said No...and my usual drugstore still wont fill ...now say he can only fill 1 I have 4 plates in neck 3 deterating bone disease and severe RA ...what do I do? I had emergency gallbladder removed and had only one med...they wouldn't give me no meds either.. had to go thru all this pain?

I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having and that you're in pain.

However, if they feel they have reason to be concerned about the amount or combination of medications that you're taking, pharmacists are allowed to refuse to fill something.

The FDA lists these as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

It might be best to talk to your doctor about just prescribing one and perhaps raising the dosage of it.

Does anyone else have any suggestions that might help?

I was in the same boat pain mangment is crazy they can fix that call and get them to give u new script and find a small drug store the big ones always run out the small ones will make sure they have enuf every month to fill yours.hope this helps

Did your Dr write on either prescription that one is for #BREAKTHROUGH PAIN? If not you need them to. I take 2 types one Extented for pain & 20mg Roxy for #BreakThrough. I'd look in to that if I were you.

Yes he's right... The script has to say for break through pain... I live in Ohio...our scripts here have to say that...or the pharmacy won't fill it...smaller pharmacy are the way to go...good luck!
