My doctor has advised to give my son ( 2yrs and 6 months) to give monticope kid tablet once when he has cough. Would he be habituated to it?

hello i am pregnant 1 month and 10 days over and i have sinus problem befor i teak every day monticop but now this day my Dr. said don't take but i had so much sinus problem and i can't able to saty without moticop so i can take moticop?????????pls Ans
