The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and headache.

A numb tongue is not a normal side effect. Have you consulted your doctor? Are you on any other medications?

When I was taking them both, I found that I often got chills and would shiver, so I had to stop mixing them.
