Moles
UpdatedI have had a mole under my left brow - one that I thought came from tweezers pinching - that has suddenly broken up into a series of very small moles under the brow and one small mole on the right brow. The lid on my of my left brow is red and seems a bit swollen. It isn't exactly painful, just a bit itchy and distracting.
I take several medications for hypertension, but they have all been prescribed for a very long time. What could be causing this?

Hello, Lilith! How are you?
It's hard to say, there could be several causes. If it's itchy, it's not likely a mole, but could be an allergic reaction to something, a herpes breakout, hives, or several other options.
Have you consulted your doctor?
I do not have a doctor at the moment. My insurance only allows you to change Primary on the 1st of the month, and my doctor moved his practice 20 miles away.
My insurance will pay for the ER, and I may go and have it looked at this weekend.
It is possible that it is an allergic reaction, but I doubt very much it is Herpes...I'm old and a widow.
I do have an allergic reaction to metal, and one pair of my glasses does have a metal frame, but the what ever they are, would not come in contact with the frame.
I do not want to apply anything to stop the itch so close to the eye.
I have another brown - not sure if it is a mole or what, on the other temple, but oddly enough, it just comes off once a year. I have no idea if they could be related, but I doubt it.
I think the ER is the best option for now.
Thank you for answering my question.
