Missed Pravastatin

I haven't had my daily dose of pravastatin for three days. I get my prescription tomorrow. Will I be ok?

Hello, Kelly! How are you? Why did you miss so many doses?

There shouldn't be any severe problems, but it would be best to inform your doctor, so they are aware of the issue. Sometimes, suddenly stop such a medication can cause a rebound effect that elevates your cholesterol.

The FDA classifies this medication as a statin and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches.
