Missed Pills Now On Period

I've been on sprintec for about half a year now and never had problems. Recently I missed 2 blue pills and had intercourse within those days and now im spotting a week before the white pills. What does this mean? Do I jump ahead and start the white pills that im supposed to take while on my period? Why did this happen?

That can happen if you miss active pills. When you have your period while taking oral hormonal contraceptives, it is actually called a withdrawal bleed, because it is due to a withdrawal of the hormones. The tablets you take that week are actually just placebos.

Thus, by missing pills your body is made to operate as if it is time for the withdrawal bleed to occur and having intercourse those days increased the risk of pregnancy, just an FYI. ….and you should make sure to be tested, because you could have spotting and still be pregnant.

And no, you should continue the pack as normal and make sure not to miss anymore of the active pills, then take the placebo pills at the time you normally would.

I started birth control for the first time 2 Fridays ago. I started my period on the second Friday and I continued to take the active pills. I have had a moderate period fir about 5 days now and I end the active pills on Saturday. If I still have my cycle on Saturday, do i start the sugar pills or do I start a new pack? I want my period to go away and I dont want it to continue to Saturday. I am kind of annoyed with all of this. but if i do take the sugar pills wont i have another period! I don't want one! if you could please help that would be great!
