Hi, Kevin!

To avoid withdrawal and rebound effects, tapering is usually done very, very slowly. The current preferred method is to have the person start to skip doses, or stretch out the time between when they take them. Such as taking them every 10 hours, rather than every 8 and then slowly lengthening the time even further. But this method can take weeks or months.

However, you should consult your doctor to see what method is safest for you.

Have you consulted your doctor, yet?
