Minastrin 24 Fe Brown Discharge

Hi, I have been on minastrin fe for about 8 months. My period has always been normal. However, this time for the last 3 days of when I was supposed to be on my period I've just had brown discharge very very light. Several days (starting with the time change) I took my period at varying times between 10am and 11am. Should I be concerned? Is an hour time difference a big enough one to make the pill not effective? Is brown discharge normal? I took a pregnancy test on the second day of the brown discharge and it was negative. What do you think?

Hello, Emily! How are you? Has there been any change?

According to the AMA, brown discharge is usually just old blood, sometimes not all of it is expelled during your period, so it comes out later, before, during, or after your next period. If you aren't expecting it, it can seem very odd and even gross, but it is completely normal.

And no, a one hour difference will not alter the efficacy, according to FDA reports.
