Mi Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Medication

I am a 46 yo who came up to MI after Katrina in which of course lost everything, i was taking 2mg xanax for about 4 years prior and now my wife is leaving me and my five kids, i have several panic/anxiety attacks per day and I need to find a doctor to prescribe xanax. I tried all the other meds and the xanax worked the best. Please advise, i am desperate.

This new law enforcing the prescribing of hydrocodone is really hurting those of us who have chronic pain. My neuro just retired because he felt that the government was putting pressure on him to not prescribe pain meds to his patients. They even threaten physicians with prosecution should they write too many scripts for pain meds. He said he was close to retiring anyhow and did not feel it was ethical for the feds to tell him how to treat his patients. So I no longer have a doctor to treat me and don't know what to do as many physicians will not treat you if you require pain meds...................good ol usa Oh BTW I live in Lenawee County and since they put a tighter rein on hydrocodone the H use has skyrocketed
