Could I take his 25 mg of hydrochlorothiaz in for a few days until I can get my prescription filled? My blood pressure has risen since I ran out of it. Thank for any help you can give me.

They are not equivalent medications, and you should not switch, without medical approval.

How high has your blood pressure risen? Can you call your doctor for advice? They may be able to call in a prescription for your Metoprolol to wherever you are traveling.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
