Metoprolol Vision Side Effect

I have been on various doses of metoprolol since July. The dr. Reduced dose from 100 mg. Twice a day to 50 mg. Twice a day then 25 mg twice a day. Still had vision problems and dizzy. 5 days ago reduced it to 12/12mg. Twice a day. Still have blurry vision and dizzyjudi

Wow! That's horrible! Has there been any change?

While those can be side effects of this medication, they usually go away after about 4 to 5 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication, according to the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, headache, and hypotension.

However, given the length of time you've been dealing with this, I think it's time to try a different medication and I'm not sure why your doctor hasn't already suggested that you do so. Are you working with a specialist, or just your primary care doctor?

I go to a heart Dr. But don't go back until Dec. My primary care Dr. is who reduced me to 12.5 mg. I go back to her in two weeks.
