Metoprolol Tartrate 25mg 2× A Day

My pressure is usually around 110/70 if I take this what will it make my pressure drop to. I just had a coronary artery bypass graft almost a month ago. But my pressure has dropped to almost 70 and I was very light headed. I dont want another episode like that.

According to the FDA information, Metoprolol is a beta blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and increased urination.

Unfortunately, there is no set number I can quote you for how much it will lower your blood pressure, that can vary from person to person. It doesn't work, at all, for some people and for others, it can work too well.

The only thing you can really do is try it and see how it affects you.
