I was prescribed 25mg of Metoprolol Succinate once a day. Does it work the same to divide the pill in half and take 12.5 mg in the morning and 12.5 mg in the evening? I want to wean myself off of this medication. I was prescribed this for Afib.
wouldl like to know the side affects
This medication is listed by the FDA as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotensions.
Momma V, how are you doing? Has there been any change?
Re: Verwon (# 3)
Thank you for replying. I am not really having any of those problems. I am having hair loss and I don't want to be on any meds for afib. The doctor now wants me to go on an anticoagulant and the spiral is starting with meds. I want to wein myself off metropolol by just beginning to take 12.5 once a day instead of 25 mg once a day. That is why I want to cut them in half. What do you think?
My doctor is giving me metoprolol ext 25mg twice a day. Is this a normal dose.
