Metoprolol Succ Er And Hydrocodone Acetaminophon 10-325

I am a new heart patient on Clopidogrel 75m, Metoprolol succ er 50 mg, I take in the a.m. and night its pravastatin sodium 40 mg, losartan potassium 50 mg, lorazepam .5(major insomnia), I have two herniated disc, arthritis scoliosis and and been on pain mngt for years as they do not want to do surgery. I am 52. drove myself to ER with chest and arm pain and had two blocked arteries, so new stents and he said no damage to heart. i take only cardiac meds prescribed. I got scared to take anything else.! Tylenol is a joke, shots last maybe 5 days...i sit at my job because i need it and can hardly walk due to pain. what can i do that wont kill me? Can i take hydrocodone acetaminophin 10-325, just 1 a day to make it through work?

Hello, Sandy! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're so miserable!

You should be able to take it, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies it as being a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.

However, narcotics can cause depression of the central nervous system, so it may also lower your heart rate and blood pressure, so you should be aware of that and seek medical attention if you start to feel extremely dizzy or as if you're having trouble breathing.

Thank you, decided against it. All the side effects and habit forming are not worth it. My heart takes precedence. Now to find out if lorazepam has to go. long time insomnia. so many meds it gets scary. I know pravastatin at night, but with toprol, cozaar & lorazepam? In the morning it is 325 ml aspirin and plavix. Any ideas..? Thanks much XOXO

Hello everybody just want you to know I am in same spot but my new doctor gave me some cream I take pills to for pain and started the cream as soon as I got home it does help you can use it ,back neck any where you have pain I only take med twice a day now in stead of three oh the name is DENDRACIN LOTION
