Metoprolol Low Heart Rate
UpdatedI have been taking Metoprolol 50 mg twice daily for about two years and my pulse was usually around 67 or 68 . The last few days my pulse has been 51 to 56 , I have been very dizzy . Today I went out and had bad pressure in my head and was very dizzy , I thought I was going to pass out . My hubby had to help me get to the car . Am I getting to much Metoprolol ?

Yes, it is possible that you might need a dosage adjustment and should consult your doctor. That can be a side effect of this medication, according to FDA reports. You may also experience other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
