Metoprolo Er Tb Suc 100mg

Can you tell me the difference between the above med. and Metoprolol TAB TAR 100 MG? Thank you

Metoprolol Suc (Succinate) ER is an extended release (hence the ER in the name) tablet. Metoprolol Tar (Tartrate) is an immediate release medication. Would you happen to know if these two drugs are coming from different manufacturers? Also, I am guessing that with the TAR you have to take more doses throughout the day than with the SUC?
