It isn't wise to mix alcohol with any prescription medication, especially if you have high blood pressure or a heart condition, since alcohol carries a risk of cardiotoxicity and you should also always check with your doctor, before imbibing.

As to interactions with the medication, it can cause a worsening of any side effects, so you may feel more nauseous, dizzy and drowsy than normal.
