Metoprol Side Effects
UpdatedI've been taking Metoprol for about 4 months now to help prevent A-Fib episodes, but since I've been taking it, first I had a location on my back that would itch, and now most days I have a dull ache, or tired feeling between my shoulder blades, it comes and goes. Another strange thing, is some days I get to feeling burpy, not forcefully, just in a minor but on-going way. Didn't have any of this prior to taking this medication.

Hello, Karen! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the issues you're having.
Metoprolol is classified by the FDA as a beta blocker and they have been known to cause such issues in some people that take them, sometimes to the point where they had to switch to something else to treat their conditions.
Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension.
If they are very annoying, you could speak to your doctor about trying an alternative medication.
Is there anything else I can help with?
