No, these two generally shouldn't be taken together, due to the increased risk of GI ulceration, from them increasing the toxicity of each other. It would be best to speak to your doctor regarding what you can safely take with the Methylprednisolone.

As to it, the FDA classifies it as a steroid and, for it to be most effective, you should take the full dose pack, as prescribed, with no shortcuts.

Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, fluid retention, acne and weight gain.
