Methodone Treatment

i'm 46 year old male,had been taking vicodin for 12 years for back problems.i tried quiting 3 months ago have had a hard time with it.dealing with cronic back&joint pain,and withdralls,was wondering if i'm a canidate for methodone treatment,and also if there are any drs.in orange county ny that can prescribe it.

Methadone treatment cannot be provided by a regular doctor, it can only be provided by someone that's specially trained and must be done in a clinical setting.

That said, whether or not you are a candidate depends on how much of the Vicodin you've been taking. If you've only been using prescribed amounts, then you'll most likely be better off just tapering off it, rather than resorting to addiction treatment.
