Methamphetamine Stopped My Period

Hello I've recently quit methamphetamine and my period has been on pause for a few months. I figured once I quit it would start but it hasn't, and I am not pregnant. Anyone else been through this?

Such a drug tends to screw your body up quite a bit, since it is a stimulant, so your natural hormones might be off and it could take a couple months for things to return to normal.

The only way to really be sure, though, would be to consult a gynecologist and have it checked out.

Did you lose weight, while you were taking it?

That is typical side effect, as listed by the FDA, along with acne, nervousness, insomnia and headaches. Sometimes being underweight can also cause your periods to stop.

All I can say is gaining a few pounds can stop your period, if you stopped smoking you probably put on weight.

This also happened to me. I used fairly small amounts daily for about 6 months. I stopped altogether about a month ago. I have not had a period since October. I took 2 pregnancy tests in November a week apart and both were negative. I am turning 47 in January and am wondering my use started my menopause or what...

I quit methamphetamine and my periods stopped when I was 35. They never came back. I'm not complaining about it, just saying it does happen.
