Methadone With Tramadol

I've been on 100 mg of methadone for 3 years. I'm on day 3 of NO METHADONE! Can I take tramadol to help With withdraw

Has your doctor instructed you to take Tramadol to help?

It's a very mild opioid, so it isn't like to help much to alleviate Methadone withdrawals.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Does anyone have experience with handling Methadone withdrawals?

I'm currently on 30ml of methadone but have recently been taking opiates. Now that I've stopped taking them my methadone isn't holding me like it did. Can I take Tramadol to help eliminate the wd's?

I've been taking opiates for 20yrs now & have been on methadone for the last year. Methadone is no joke. Withdrawals are the worst I've ever experienced with any of the opiates. You need to get something in your system asap cuz day 5+ is going to level you. 100mg s***, I'm on 30mg & I wanted to end my misery, & I detoxed from 12-80mg oxy's a day cold turkey. You really need to take something. You can take any opiate, question is how much. To counter 100mg you will need at least half (50mg) just to not come out your skin. Needs to be a real one tho, oxycodone, dilaudid, opanas, ect. Get what you think you need then be ready to get the same amount on top cuz what you think won't be enough. Good luck... Did I mention that I didn't sleep for 43 days when I detoxed last time? Do it today.
