Methadone To Morphine (Top voted first)

ive been on 100mgs of methadone for a year and am unable to get to my clinic next week. i have some 100mg morphine pills from an old prescription. how much morphine should i take per day when ive been used to 100mgs of methadone per day?

I'm currently on 135mg methadone and missed the clinic today but have to work tonight. How many 30mg morphine tablets would I need to be without withdrawal at work tonight?

It takes 4-5 30mg extend release tabs to help me. But they last for 8-10 hrs usually. I was on 90 mg of done for about 2 years. Recently started going to the clinic again

Because no two drugs are created equally, there is no one-size fits all approach to determining proper pain management protocol and drug equivalency between any medications. In regards to methadone and morphine, I believe your best bet is to contact your prescribing doctor (who should've provided you with dosing instructions from the start). I hope you both find the level of relief you're looking for, but making questionable dosing adjustments without your prescribing doctor's supervision could turn out to be a dangerous move. If for any reason you can't get ahold of your doctor, I'd at least call a local pharmacy who may have someone present that can immediately assist you with this matter.
