what else would cause methadone toshow up in a urine test

Hi everyone. This is what I have figured out, and i really wish the doctors would educate themselves! they are also freaked out because of insurance regulations and all the people over using narcotics, that they're randomly drug testing everybody (or monthly, like me) and not really looking at the results and the people themselves. as a whole. In an entire year mine have come back flawed and completely inaccurate 5 times out of 13. That tells me there it's a serious problem. Twice it is said there was methadone in my urine, twice oxycodone (which I am no longer taking, and once it said there was absolutely no drugs in my urine at all... and trust me with my herniated disc and my back problems and rheumatoid arthritis I am taking my medication every single day. The Dr. Never once truly asked what's going on, or talked to me about it on detail...because I was super upset after the first time and did as much research as possible said to him this is got to be flawed and his answer was well 20 percent of the time it can be wrong. And my thoughts are..."well that means 20 times out of 100 it can be wrong!"
That's a lot of times and a whole lot of inaccuracy! So why then do I get looked at as a criminal? Why then do I have to come in every two weeks for my medication instead of once a month and get double urine test for 6 months now because suddenly I'm looked at as some sort of criminal or drug peddler? I get that there it's a huge drug problem, but for those of us in Legitimate constant pain who unfortunately have to take this stuff. .. I beg the doctors to do their research! I have! (Even the urine testing companies will admit how inaccurate the Damn things are!)

I'm on the same meds as you! Plus oxycodone, and I tested positive for methadone! What the hell! I'm freaked!

i am in the same boat here. what did you find out in this situation. i have to test on fri and i took 3 methadone on sun but im not sure felony probation even tests specifically for methadone. i have a script for norco and soma so am i in the clear

Ive never taken methadone..but was tested positive for it..im on topamax .tramadol.flexeril...but recently had oral surgery..now they released me..what happened?

So if I seen pain Dr and am prescribed Norco 10 Mg but took a methadone and was drug tested will the test show I had taken a methadone

they have to be testing for methadone specifically....otherwise it doesnt show up!! Only clinics and doctors with reasons test for methadone...probation or work drug tests will NOT test for methadone..it is a synthetic narcotic

The only thing that would show up as Methadone is Methadone if they are testing for the specific drugs.

Most standard urine tests do not, they just test for drug classes and concentrations, such as opiates, Benzodiazepines and Amphetamines.

Are you currently taking some sort of opiate?

There have been many posts recently about false positives on urine tests, so it makes me wonder if there is possibly a bad batch out there.
