getting worried Says:
need to find doc who can prescribe methadone for chronic pain. Primary care put me on methadone and oxy for breakthrough pain. now cannot prescribe any more. I don't care about the oxy but need to either continue methadone or get off of it---which obviously would need scritp for as well... to wean off safely -have insurance--am 62 and don't have any other doc for the last 13 years. am not addict but am physically dependent due to long term condition. largo Clearwater florida I need help fast. thank you for reading-any help will be appreciated...

Due to the new regulations, if you require such a medication for long-term, ongoing management of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist.
Are you still under the care of your PCP currently? If so, getting them to refer you to a specialist will likely be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.
