I'm sorry, but there is no 'methadone doctor' so to speak. Technically, any doctor can prescribe it for pain, however, if you're looking for it for addiction treatment, then a clinic is your only option. A private practice doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for that, it can only be given in a clinical setting by those that have been specially trained in its use.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone suggest a place in that area?
