Methadone Availability In Mexico

I live in USA and will be staying in Mazatlan Mexico for 31 days. I am in a methadone xlinic and my Dr. can prescribe me 26 days of methadone.They say to set up a courtesy dose. at a clinic in Mazatlan for the remaining days. Is there any methadone clinics in Mazatlan that could provide courtesy dosing?

Hi Mona,

I see no shortage of rehab facilities and drug addiction centers all throughout Mexico listed in the yellow pages. However, I haven't come across any specifically denoting "methadone" as an option (let alone in Mazatlan). It may be that you'd have to call around or make an appointment for a consultation to find out about the types of treatment they offer. Will you be close to any major cities? Mazatlan from what I can tell seems like a smaller community compared to many other cities in the country who'd likely have a wider range of options for you to choose from.
