Methadone And Roxicodone For Chronic Pain (Top voted first)

From 2009 thru 2012 I was prescribed methadone and roxicodone for chronic back pain. Which was very effective. The clinic closed down and I've found it difficult to find a doctor who will prescribe methadone. My current doc gives me five 30mg roxicodone a day but I don't get the pain relief I had when taking methadone and the occasional roxicodone for breakthrough pain. Can anyone reccomend a pain doctor in the Nashville area that prescribes methadone and roxicodone for pain control?

Hey where is it u live, like city and state? I live n IN and i need a doctor to continue my roxicodone 30 mg also. u mentioned that u r currently getn urs. so i. was wondering what doctor u r going to to get yours??? if u could help me plz let me knw.

Hello, Jim! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain.

However, there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you.

The only thing you can do is see a doctor and discuss your treatment options with them. Many won't want to prescribe Methadone, because of how addictive it is.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Does anyone know of a good doctor they can recommend in that area?
