MY HUSBAND HAS BLADDER CANCER AND WAS PRESCRIBED 20 MG OF METHADONE EVERY MORNING. HE WAS ALSO GIVEN MORPHIN SULFATE 60 MGS TWICE A DAY. HOW SHOULD THESE MEDICINES BE TAKEN?

Is this where you wanna be when Jesus comes back, debating is it safe to mix Methadone and Morphine? Yes its a deadly combination!!! You do not need a doctor's degree to know this.. Turn on the news, it is killing people by the minute(s)... Its never to late to quit!

I cold turkey walked away from 98 mgs. Of methadone 8 days ago. Its been aweful. I have taken a couple of morphine 15 mgs. And it really has helped me function enough to go to work. Before the morphine I couldn't get out of bed. How many days should I stay at the 15 mgs. Before I cut back to half...and less...as not to become hooked on the morphine? Thanks.

You all just need to smoke a J.. Its fast, effective, perfectly harmless, and a natural pain reliever.. And the best part there is no withdrawl! It even cures panic attacks.. Just because someone is or claims to be a doctor does not mean they have your best interest at heart.. On the contrary 9/10 it is probably there pockets.. Hell even the Nazi's had doctors.. They invented methadone! But I dont mean to rant I'm just tired of seeing people die everyday.. If they are not dead their life and every second of it is consumed by this B.S. #THETRUTH

I wonder why you ask this because.....I was researching the mix of M & M and when used by Hospice, if it's not a legal way for them to assist someone's passing when terminally ill. My ex had ALS and wanted to die. Hospice said they could not kill him but only make him more comfortable. 3 days after prescribing the Methadone on top of the Morphine, he died. This was 1 yr. ago and I have always been suspicious that this was inevitably a fatal mixture.

Well my mom passed away this morning we don't know the cause of death but she was taking methadone and morphine stay away from that stuff it is a toxic cocktail that kills I really think this is was happen to my loving mother I found her this morning not a pretty sight damn man she is gone now my advice stay away from it rip mom I love and miss you may 13 2014 although I don't know this was the cause of death my heart tells me that those damn pills had somthing to do with it

Really Sorry To hear about your mum :-( so sad May she rest in peace. Keep strong your mum will always be in your heart. Thank you for sharing this heartbreaking story. It will make people re consider drug combinations esp morphine and methadone together in high doses! Tolerance has alot to do with it aswell. If you have high tolerance to m &m. You may be ok as I had serious head back and wrist injury 17 years ago a fractured my spine and blood clot to brain then to top that a compound fracture to wrist. I've been on every combo of pain relief and ended up on 20 ml liquid methadone once a day and 60 mg sevredol (morphine sulphate here in uk) but it's not helping anymore due to tolerance so doc is looking into other options. I am really shocked to read the doses of of methadone and morphine prescribed in the US here in scotland UK the doctors would NEVER prescribe like 140 mg of methadone maybe it's different ingredients in the US so it's weaker I don't know but I really just want to be drug and pain free. Over the years of medication the side effects have turned me into a paranoid wreck! Thinking everyone is against me and scared to go outside and Social anxious. Depression. Not wanting to get out of bed. I blame the Health Service for writing scripts without thinking of the long term effects and not closely monitoring there patients enough. These are dangerous controlled drugs that should. Be MORE controlled!? It's just not fair or right. I pick up my weekly script and feel like a junkie coz I'm on meth which is in the uk for the most part for coming off H. Patients have to take it infront of the pharmacist. I get 140mg/ml per week to take home as doctor trusts me and it. For pain but yet I still feel like a druggie I pray to God when I go to him in 2. Weeks he will have a solution. I for sure will be off methadone within a month I hope. A few years ago I was down to 5ml/mg and one day I went ty see my doc. It wasn't one of my best days but I hadn't taken my 5ml and he said..."you look terrible I think I need to up your dose again ty 20ml,!! I wi I I had said no as I wld be off that crap well before now. Am way I just wrote this to say sorry about your mum but thought I would share my story. God Bless and Take Care.

I need to know how long methadone remains in the urine. My husband is prescribes 4 30mg oxycodone HCL per day and 2 morphine sulfate er 100mg (1 every 12 hours). ! week ago he was out of meds and still had a couple days till he could refill. I was able to get him 3 methadone 10 mg so that he didn't get sick with withdrawls. I need to know how long the methadone will remain in his system as his pain management dr will be giving him a drug panel in about 12 days. The dr will discharge him if he comes up for anything besides his scripts.

I'm on pain management and am prescribed 15mg oxycodone 5x's daily with 5mg of methadone 3x"s daily(just started out on methadone last month) I was on Morphine sulfate every 4 hours as needed for breakthrough pain and morphine ER every 12 hours. I prefer the oxycodone with the methadone personally. I'm new to pain management so my dosage I feel is still not where it needs to be. I ran out of oxycodone and ended up finding morphine ER off the street because I was withdrawing so badly! I was under the assumption that my methadone would curb my withdraw symptoms WRONG!!! After reading about the death from this combination I am now scared to take my nightly dose of methadone! I hate taking the meds simply because of the physical dependence issue..the thought of od'ing scares the hell out of me!! I get my oxy refill in 3 days after the suffering from pain and withdrawing I'm so ready for my regular meds!! I'm nervous however about taking my methadone. The morphine ER is only 15mg do you guys think it's safe to go ahead and take my methadone? Uggh I'm so scared but I'm so sick and am in excruciating pain!!

The methadone helps with withdrawls very good.the first day u get withdrawls u have to take toget to where u feel ok.then the next day drop down cuz it takes different times to get into ur symptons.i heard of a pill called krampton look it up on youtube i heard its good for withdrawls.i was on 30mgs ixy 10 a day and when i was so sick i took 2 10mgs of methadone and i felt great.just remember it build up in ur system so best advice take it down every 3 days or u will build it up and go thru withdrawls for a month if u are cut off. just advice goodluck

Did u find a doc in vegas my doc perfers bow to give out methadone but it seems like alot u are taking 2 to 4 10mg pills will help believe me i know.i take 2 a day most of the time...goodluck and i can give u a good undrstanding doc.

No thats not true! There is no opiate blocker in methadone. Thats only suboxen. Methadone is synthetic. My mother has Stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to the brain. She has weeks to live. She is on 15mg of methadone 3 times a day and 20mg of morphine up to 12 times a day. Both are liquid.

Well i heard and this is from ny and everyone whos uses it if u take at least 80 mgs it fills in all the receptors and idk if it block out the morphine completly but the say that like H opiates bounce off the receptors. my doc gives me 40mgs of methadone and 60 15mgs of oxys for breakthru pain so it will work but u dont feel the good feelings off oxys but i take 1/4 of everything cuz i dont want to be the way i was before saved me for 2 years methadone an im sorry about ur mom. my friend just lost his dad who was a retired firefighter

Look on bluelight for the safe conversion chart for these meds. There it is detailed what equals what and it will keep ya safe or just search engine drug conversion chart and look specifically for your meds.

Wrong. .im on methadone. Suboxen is narcan it causes withdrawel if taken with opiates. Methadone blocks opiate receptors in your brain. Naltrexone same as suboxen in the sense it has narcan. And blocks receptors.so that theory is wrong.

How can I stop taking methadone. An go back to taking moriphine. Will I have withdraws? I need surgery an my Dr.want do it until my pain Dr.takes me off the methadone. An will it help after being on ten mgs three times a day of methadone for two years?

Ive been on methadone for 2 years. suppose to take 4 10mgs pills a day but i only take two. its in ur body and bones etc, so if u want to get off it u can try to take something else and see if it works. i took oxys 10s for 5 days just to start getting it out my body and then started taking a half in morning and night. i havent had withdrawals in two years and longest ive gone without taking a methadone pill was 3 days, then i felt hot cold sweats, but nothing compared to coming off oxys or morphine etc. So take it slow. start breaking pieces off like a quarter piece each week for a month. believe me if i can do it so can you. godbless you
