Methadone And Having Surgery

I have been taking maintenance methadone for three years at 170 mg I have surgery in 2 weeks I am scare if the surgeon knows he w I all not give me anything for pain. I have been in horrible pain this past year and methadone don't help.

It is very, very risky to undergo surgery and not tell your surgeon that you're on this medication. You really need to do that, immediately, otherwise you could be putting your own life at risk. They will still treat your pain, don't be worried that won't.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Ho I'm very scared I have surgery in 4 days an I didn't tell my doctor very scared.. getting beast impants. I'm on 40mg. Do u take your drink that morning or wait till after or I hear 24 hours later.. don't no what to do ..very scared he won't do my surgery Telling him last min at the hospital in surgery room .. it's more 4 the pain. . Or do they gave u sometime to block the methadone .be 4 the surgery ... just don't no what to do...

I'm on 120mg a day for 5 years and I'm getting my lazy eye surgery done is there anything I should worry.

Hi I'm frm Burma and take metherdone 12.5ml for abt six yrs. Now I have to extent my wound from my butt and I scared the hell out that my surgeon didn't know abt metherdone and prescribed for my pain after surgery. So anyone pls advise me abt how I tell my surgeon for my pain after surgery, What kinds of medications should I ask b4 n after sugery? Your advises 4 me are really appreciated n pls save me.
