Methadone And Anesthesia

I am on methadone and I don't want my wife to know. I have to have a needle biopsy done on my lung do I have to tell the doctor that is doing the procedure

Yes, but he is not allowed to tell your wife, without your permission.

There are new privacy laws that were put in place years ago to protect you under such circumstances.

I am having a procedure on Thursday and I'm going to be put to sleep for about 30 to 45 minutes. I am on 95 milligrams of methadone and have been for quite some time now. My question is I know I have to tell the anesthesiologist that I'm on methadone so that way he can measure how much anesthesia I need knowing that I'm on methadone but if I tell him, is he obligated to keep it to himself or will he share that information with the doctors doing the procedure?
