Metformin ER costs about $10. Metformin OSM is $800 my prices. Will ER work as well as OSM?

Yes, it is just a different type of extended release, but you may need to ask your doctor to specifically prescribe the ER.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, stomach pain and hypoglycemia.
